General Aithorities in Gettysburg.

From the records of the No. Central States mission we learn that 4 General authorities visited Gettysburg, S.D. Two of the Seven Presidents of Seventy and two Apostles- both of whom later became Presidents of the Church. This is a very unusual circumstance because two of them came before the branch was even organized and the last when he dedicated the chapel.

Milton R. Hunter on 23 August 1946.
Joseph Fielding Smith 6 September 1947.
Spencer W. Kimball 13 May 1951.
Antoine R. Ivins 11 Nay 1952.

I can remember them all. Pres. Hunter spoke about his visit with white Indians in Central America.

I have Joseph Fielding Smith's autograph and address in my little autograph book, also in my Mother's book.

Elder Kimball put his arm on my shoulder and spoke with me.

The chapel was dedicated just before I left on my mission.
