Story of my eye.

A few days ago I was reminded of past experiences with my eye. I bumped into Tailyr on my left side and then told the story of bumping into Ivar Sandberg while leaving a cleanup job at a flood in Pierre, SD. He was blind in his right eye and I in my left and walking side by side realised that we needed to change positions because we kept bumping into each other. Problem solved and we chuckled over the incident. Nadine suggested I write about it for posterity.

This recalled an insight (pun intended) when Michael Murdock asked me how much reading I did in a day and I responded 8 or nine hours or so. Not very surprised he asked about the handicap of having sight in only one eye. It was then I realised that it was probably a real blessing. Those with two eyes frequently have uneven vision so that the eyes tire because of the strain. I have never had that problem . A real blessing.
